Keep Your Teeth Healthy and Your Smile Bright
Get to know the Benefits of your Dental Crowns at International Dental Center PV Mexico. This treatment (also known as “caps”), is an artificial restoration that fits over the remaining part of a prepared tooth. With this procedure, we restore the functionality of cracked teeth or with excessive decay, replace a pre-existing crown and even cosmetic modifications, by making dental crowns strong and giving them the shape and size of a natural tooth. We create your E.max Porcelain and Zirconia Crowns accurately and in shorter times thanks to our In-house Lab.

Different Types of Dental Crowns
We offer you the best types of Dental Crowns: E.max Porcelain, Zirconia, or Yellow Gold. Choosing the Dental Crown that is right for you will depend on your medical needs, aesthetic and budget
E.max is the newest cosmetic porcelain, a highly esthetic solution for its excellent light transmission, true-to-nature shade behavior, and strong. This porcelain is ideal for fabricating single-tooth restorations or complete smile makeovers. The ceramic two-layer system produces highly esthetic results and is 2.5 to three times stronger than other glass-ceramic systems used today.

Porcelain crowns are considered the most aesthetically appealing. The material makes it easy for dentists to fabricate a dental crown that matches the color of surrounding teeth, so they can look very realistic.

After Dental Crowns
Appointment Instructions
A Dental Crown treatment takes from two to three appointments to complete. During the custom restoration, we place a temporary crown to protect the teeth. If anesthesia has been used, you may feel your tongue, lips, and teeth numb for some hours after the appointment, so, don’t chew until the numbness has worn off. You may also experience some cold, hot, or pressure sensitivity too, don’t worry it is normal.

If you feel your gums sore for several days, use warm salt water to rinse three times a day, it could help to reduce swelling and pain. Remember to use medications as directed by the specialist.

It is not common for temporary dental crowns to come off, so in case this happens, keep the temporary and contact us, thus we can re-cement it. It is essential that a temporary crown stays in place, for the proper fit of your final restoration. To prevent this from happening, do not eat hard and sticky foods (especially gum), and chew only on the opposite side of the mouth. It’s essential to brush as usual but floss very carefully mainly on the side of the treatment to prevent the removal of the temporary crown.

In case you have persistent pain or feel your bite uneven, or you have any concerns or questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
